Purpose

As a Casting Director at Invisible Dynamics, you will play a critical role in driving the agency’s end-to-end casting process, ensuring our clients are connected with the most relevant, exciting, and culturally resonant talent. Working closely with Strategy, Creative, Client Services and your Production team, you will leverage your network, instinct, and industry knowledge to identify and secure talent that places our clients at the forefront of culture. You will be a visible face of Invisible Dynamics within the talent ecosystem—out at events, nurturing relationships, and ensuring we are always ahead of the curve.

Essential Skills

You are a casting expert with experience acting as a Casting Director or casting Senior Associate (independent or in-house) and are ready to lead Invisible Dynamics casting. You are culture-obsessed, well-connected, and thrive on building and leveraging relationships across the entertainment industry. A sharp instinct for spotting rising names and an understanding of commercial realities (budgets, deal terms, social value) make you indispensable in aligning talent with client needs.

You have 5+ years of professional casting experience across campaign, editorial, and content production, with a proven ability to lead end-to-end casting processes, negotiate talent deals, and align talent strategy with creative, strategic, and production objectives.

You are a collaborative team player who thrives in fast-paced environments, balancing creative ambition with pragmatic execution. You are detail-oriented, confident in negotiations, and enjoy building trust with talent, agents, managers, and internal partners alike.

Responsibilities

Casting & Talent Strategy

  • Lead all casting activities across ID, replacing external casting agencies, except where supplemental support is business-critical.

  • Interpret briefs and partner with Strategy and Creative to shape casting direction for each project.

  • Translate creative concepts into scalable casting frameworks across campaigns, social, and broader content ecosystems.

  • Present early indicative talent for alignment, then deliver vetted shortlists - available, in budget, and aligned to strategic and creative objectives.

  • Proactively identify opportunities to integrate talent with music, partnerships, and broader cultural platforms.

  • Track emerging talent and surface “on-the-rise” individuals ahead of breakout moments to maximize cultural relevance and value ensuring clients benefit from timely, high-impact casting (e.g. Britt Lower for Theory before her Emmy, Tyla for Gap before her Grammy, Troye Sivan for Gap before touring with Charli XCX).

  • Maintain a strong pulse on social and cultural communities to identify high-engagement, high-growth talent.

  • Provide internal guidance on casting best practices, trends, and deal structuring.

  • Partner closely with the Strategy Team to define and evolve long-term talent strategies for our clients — defining the brand's North Star talent vision and identifying the people and partnerships that will keep the brand at the forefront of culture.

  • Establish and standardize casting workflows, timelines, and communication protocols across the agency.

Talent Relations & Business Affairs

  • Actively represent ID at key industry moments - events, screenings, fashion weeks, music showcases, and cultural gatherings, ensuring ID is front-of-mind for talent opportunities.

  • Build, maintain, and expand strong relationships with talent, agents, managers, and publicists - operating on speed-dial terms.

  • Lead and manage negotiations, deal terms, and deliverables with talent and their teams, in partnership with the Executive Director of Production and legal counsel.

  • Develop and maintain casting decks and talent recommendations, ensuring consistent integration into the Invisible Talent Database.

  • Oversee end-to-end talent relations, managing communication flow and contract execution from initial outreach through final contract execution.

  • Ensure all deal structures align with production requirements, including SAG/non-SAG considerations, usage parameters, and budget realities.

Collaboration & Integration

  • Serve as the central stakeholder for Invisible Talent, ensuring alignment across all departments and projects.

  • Partner with Strategy to ensure briefs and talent evaluations align with client objectives and broader brand goals.

  • Collaborate closely with Creative to ensure talent selections are intentional and deeply connected to campaign concepts.

  • Collaborate with Production to ensure talent deliverables are executed on time, in budget, and to the required standard.
