Purpose

The Creative Director, Marketing sets vision and strategy for multiple teams and projects; aligning work with overarching business objectives and market trends. They play a critical role in setting and maintaining quality standards for Marketing projects and accounts.

Essential Skills

You bring a deep background in visual world building across various consumer-facing industries, particularly fashion, wellness, and retail. You excel at aligning creative vision with business goals. You have an instinct for what resonates with today’s consumers and excel at driving commercial success through innovative creative strategies. You’ve become an expert in one creative skill, have strength in 2 more; capable in many additional areas. You pioneer new practices and set industry standards.

Responsibilities

Creative Leadership

  • Oversee the visual direction for marketing projects, ensuring alignment with client goals and creative briefs.

  • Defines and communicates the strategic vision for multiple projects and accounts, ensuring it is grounded in intelligent research / insights.

  • Act as a brand steward, ensuring consistent messaging and creative integrity across all platforms for both the agency and clients.

  • Inspires and leads teams to deliver industry-leading work.

  • Integrate emerging technologies and/or methodologies into the creative process to ensure the agency remains at the forefront of the industry.

  • Influences key stakeholders at all levels.

  • Lead multiple teams to produce visionary and impactful outputs.


Business Development

  • Partner with the business development team on creating impactful client proposals and contributing to the pitch process.

  • Builds and maintains strong client or stakeholder relationships, constantly looking to identify areas where the client may need more support.

  • Be entrepreneurial and make introductions to potential new clients.

  • Become an expert in ID’s service offerings and capabilities and support in building case studies for proposals.

  • Analyzes market trends to help guide strategic decisions.


Department Operations

  • Regularly assess project and account health, ensuring they are set up for operational success.

  • Oversee multiple project leads, providing clear and direct feedback on timelines, team coordination, and project resources.

  • Establish expertise in ID's operational foundations, using them daily.

  • Leads internal and client communication; skilled in influencing client decisions and presenting strategic solutions.


Department Management

  • Leads multiple project teams to success

  • Establishes a clear direction for projects and accounts.

  • Maintains oversight over team's priorities and weekly outcomes, ensuring multiple team's are working in unison.

  • Mentor / provide guidance for other team members, helping elevate the team’s creative capabilities.

  • Contribute to a culture of continuous learning, ensuring the team stays ahead of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices.

Logistical Requirements

This position will be based out of the Los Angeles office with a commitment to in-person collaboration Monday through Thursday and the option to work from home on Fridays. The salary range for this role is $180,000-$220,000 annually with medical, dental, vision, life insurance and unlimited PTO. Travel within the US and internationally may be required. Some flexibility for extended hours, including evenings and weekends, is expected when required to meet client deadlines.
