Purpose
As the Culture Director at Invisible Dynamics, you will be a culturally connected leader who strengthens how we place both ID and our partner brands at the forefront of what’s relevant now and anticipating what’s next. You will own the agency’s end-to-end casting process and expand its impact by serving as a catalyst for cultural intelligence, music direction, events, and strategic connections that elevate our creative output and client work.
You will partner closely with Strategy, Creative, Production, and Client Services to translate campaign objectives into smart, culturally resonant talent, cultural, and partnership outcomes. From defining talent long-lists, to leading early feasibility, client sell-in, managing agent outreach, contract negotiations, on-set talent management, and post-production approvals—you are Invisible Dynamics’ lead at every step of the casting ecosystem.
Beyond casting, you’ll help ensure Invisible Dynamics stays ahead of culture: surfacing rising talent and cultural moments, forging relationships and developing partnerships with cultural tastemakers, and shaping cultural inputs (including music and events) that make our work feel timely, distinctive, and culturally credible. You will also be responsible for growing the revenues of our Casting business with existing and new client partners. This role demands a highly connected, culturally fluent operator who can combine strategy, creativity and business acumen—with confidence and taste.
Essential Skills
You are an experienced Casting or Culture Director, talent/partnership lead, or culture-forward producer ready to lead a sophisticated, strategically integrated culture function. You balance experience-led instinct and a robust data-backed approach, bringing both sharp taste and rigorous due diligence into every decision.
You are:
Deeply connected across entertainment, fashion, music, digital culture, and talent management.
Fluent in cultural momentum, with the ability to spot rising names, movements, and moments before widespread recognition.
Strategic and structured, able to input into criteria, assess fit, and articulate clear rationale to internal teams and clients.
Collaborative, working seamlessly with Strategy, Creative, Production, and Client Services.
Commercially savvy, understanding rates, deal structures, conflicts, usage, non-competes, exclusivity, and deliverables.
A skilled negotiator, respected by agents and talent teams.
Detail-oriented and operationally strong, ensuring smooth execution from initial brief to contract close-out.
You thrive in fast-paced, high-stakes environments and bring a positive, solutions-driven approach to every challenge.
Responsibilities
Cultural Intelligence
You will help steer Invisible Dynamics’ cultural edge — ensuring both ID and our work stay culturally current, credible, forward-looking and visible — and help unlock experiences that extend our ideas into real cultural presence.
Client-Focused (how we help our clients stay ahead):
Bring a cultural scout mindset, identifying emerging talent, cultural movements, scenes, platforms, and shifts.
Translate those cultural signals into clear, actionable inputs for Strategy and Creative (e.g., how culture is moving, what feels overdone, what feels next).
Define the Culture Pillars for our clients, in conjunction with the Strategy team, and create a quarterly Culture report for each of our AOR partners.
Spearhead talent and music choices that deepen our brand’s creative worlds, storytelling and cultural relevance.
Help clients show up in culture through the right format: dinners, performances, pop-ups, creator moments, editorial partnerships, or community-led programming.
ID-Focused (how we as a creative business stay ahead):
Build and nurture a network of cultural connectors (stylists, music supervisors, labels, artists, photographers, models, DJs, venue owners, curators, editors, creators, agents, managers).
Build Invisible Dynamics reputation as a cultural leader, identifying and prioritizing the cultural moments that matter most to ID — through partnership opportunities, event programming, comms and awards entries.
Be a visible participant in key cultural moments in LA (and beyond).
